Fragrant aromas but somewhat lighter and drier then its more then its famous Rhone brothers. Limea, honeysuckle and orange peel with spicy tinge to the palate.

Domaine Ferraton
This historic town was once the papal seat. It is now better known for it heady, powerful red wines. The vines grow on soil covered in smooth, flat "pudding stones". These retain the warmth of sun, lending a greenhouse effect to the vineyards in otherwise cooler nights. A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, this has a delicious spicy glow of black pepper and cassis.

This wine has a gently toasty cassis nose, followed by elegant blackberry and dark cherry fruit with liquorice hints and good freshness. It is one of the very finest wines in Pauillac, and indeed the whole of Bordeaux.
