Channing Independent Hotel Reviews Edinburgh

wonderful hotel and staff were very helpful.our meal in the restaurant was also great. Would definitely recommend Channings and will use again when I require to stay in Edinburgh.

After having spent an enjoyable afternoon in the restaurant, we were a bit surprised and disappointed to be told by someone collecting the glasses to 'tone it down a bit', whilst having a drink at the bar later. Also very surprised that a large Labrador dog was allowed in the lounge bar where food was being served. As a result, we will not be returning!!!

Only had a brief stay at Channings Hotel on Saturday 13th February, Couldn't compliment the hotel enough. Very welcoming staff and a cosy well stocked bar. Channings is in a great location far enough away from the bizz but near enough to enjoy the 10 minute walk to the West end of Princess Street. The continental breakfast we had was very nice with no shortage of fruit juices/pastries/cereals as well as ample tea or coffee. We never had any other meals in the hotel as we had a meal booked for the Saturday night in town. Lovely big room and all in all it was a memorable stay and I wouldn't hesitate to book Channings Hotel again in the future.
